A Professional Look –
After purchasing multitudes of readers from Target, drug stores,etc. these glasses have perfect fit and comfort. I first saw these particular readers in an airport shop, but did not have time to purchase. I found them on Zappos. I am a secondary principal and my glasses are on and off all day. They have withstood the wear and tear. Most importantly is the clarity these glasses offer and the many, many compliments I have received.

I got my first pair of Brighton Shakespeare readers as a birthday gift when I turned 40 years old. The strength was 1.0. Since then, I have bought 3 more of the same style in strengths of 1.5, then 2.0 and finally 2.5. I am now 67 years old. They are my favorite reading glasses. I love them. They are so good looking and so comfortable. I have never found reading glasses that I love as much as these. I wish they made them in stronger lenses like 3 and 3.5 so I could wear them forever.

I need glasses for reading and working all day at a computer yet when someone walks into my office I need to be able to see them (without my glasses) during our conversation. These Brighton Shakespeare Reading Glasses are exactly what I needed. I can see my computer yet I can look up and over these half glasses and see associates faces when they enter my office. These glasses are perfect for driving as they bring the vehicle gauges into view but there is no distortion the road ahead as I can look over the glasses effortlessly. No more on-and-off with my reading glasses. I put these glasses on as an accessory and wear them all day. These glasses are cute and feminine and I’m so pleased I found them.

These are heavy, sturdy, well-made glasses, and they were comfortable enough, although I’m not sure how they would feel after a long day because they are significantly heavier than plastic frames. But I took one look in the mirror and saw myself 20 years older. I have another pair of Brighton’s with the silver (heavy), but they look stylish and on-trend to me. These look so retro that they’re not even retro. I think it may be because the silver ornamentation is visible on the front of the glasses, whereas with the other pair, the silver is only on the arms. It’s a look that almost demands silver or white hair to go with it. Mine is blond. I’ll be sending them back.

I had been wearing Rx glasses before my surgery which were expensive and not very durable. Following surgery, I need only readers and what a great surprise these are – durable, comfortable and beautiful. The Brighton glasses last!

I love these. I bought a second pair when the first pair became loose and scratched (after 2 years of teacher work, where I admit, I occasionally dropped them in my bag without the case). They fit well, stay snug where they should, are attractive, and come in a tin case that really protects them (when you use it). Easy to look over the top.
